Over the past few months I've watched a local business owner deny COVID's severity, hold business BBQs for his business, semi-flip to "helping clients with their COVID issues" because there is money to be made (while still having company get-togethers),
watch his dad go to the hospital with COVID (an employee) and after more than a month there fucking drop dead.
A whole lot of praying, zero fucking awareness that this guy probably effectively killed his own dad because they didn't *want to work from home*
They're an IT services company, there was zero fucking reason to be at work other than the hubris of the business owner about "we like to go to work together"
I get fucking pissed every time I see his LinkedIn posts about the whole situation.
Mind you, this company that is this kind of thick about the most basic of things is providing security consulting services. I'm sure they're *great* at it (have talked to people that have worked with them: big surprise, they're shit, he spreads bad security FUD all the time)
